BENGALURU: A 28-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in his room at Vajarahalli in Nelamangala after being blackmailed by a married woman.
The brother of the deceased Dilip received a message from the woman Yogita on Instagram, saying Dilip had taken his own life. When his family rushed to the room, they found the door locked and had to break it open. They found Dilip hanging from the ceiling.
Dilip, a gym trainer, had met Yogita (42) at the gym. Yogita, who is married, allegedly developed a relationship with Dilip and was blackmailing him. The family has accused Yogita of driving Dilip to suicide. The police have registered a case and are investigating.
The body was sent for post-mortem examination at Nelamangala Public Hospital. The police are looking into the matter and trying to gather evidence.
