BENGALURU: The state government spent a whopping Rs 3.69 crore on a one-day cabinet meeting held at Nandi Hills on July 2. The meeting was initially scheduled for June, but was later postponed.

According to information obtained under the Right to Information Act, the government incurred expenses including Rs 36 lakh for repairing a 1.80 km stretch of road and painting the walls at Nandi Hills, Rs 38,44,617 for breakfast, lunch, flowers and transportation of human resources, approximately Rs 2 crore for preparing the Mayura Convention Hall and other arrangements.

The government had given waiver under Section 4G and allowed the expenditure. The managing director of Karnataka State Marketing Communication and Advertising Limited was responsible for releasing the funds.
