BENGALURU: The Karnataka government owes thousands of crores to the four state-run road transport corporations towards the Shakti scheme. From June 11, 2023, to July 2025, KSRTC has to get Rs 1,254.37 crore, BMTC Rs 532.32 crore, NWKRTC Rs 762.15 crore and KKRTC Rs 595.35 crore, totaling a substantial amount that has been pending for various financial years.
KSRTC:
The expenditure was Rs 1,664.42 crore for 2023-2024, the released amount was Rs 1,211.80 crore and the pending amount is Rs 452.62 crore.
The expenditure was Rs 2,401 crore for 2024-2025 while the released amount was Rs 1,905.20 crore and the pending amount is Rs 495.80 crore.
The expenditure was Rs 986.93 crore for 2025-2026 while the released amount was Rs 680.98 crore and the pending amount is Rs 305.95 crore. The total pending amount is Rs 1,254.37 crore.
BMTC:
For 2023-2024, the expenditure incurred was Rs 755.10 crore while the released amount was Rs 549.57 crore and the pending amount is 205.43 crore.
For 2024-2025, the expenditure was Rs 1059.37 crore while the released amount was Rs 1059.37 crore and the pending amount is Rs 305.95 crore.
For 2025-2026, the expenditure so far is Rs 986.93 crore while the released amount was Rs 854.59 crore and the pending amount is Rs 194.78 crore. The total dues to BMTC are Rs 532.32 crore.
NWKRTC:
The expenditure in 2023-2024 was Rs 1076.13 crore while the released amount was Rs 792.23 crore and the pending amount is Rs 205.43 crore.
The expenditure in 2024-2025 was Rs 1507.73 crore while the released amount was Rs 1232.18 crore and the pending amount is Rs 275.55 crore.
The expenditure so far in 2025-2026 Rs 634.71 crore while the released amount was Rs 432.02 crore and the pending amount is Rs 202.69 crore. The total dues are Rs 762.15 crore.
KKRTC:
The expenditure was Rs 884.72 crore for 2023-2024, the released amount was Rs 646.06 crore and the pending amount is Rs 238.06 crore.
The expenditure was Rs 1217.35 crore for 2024-2025, the released amount was Rs 1013.03 crore and the pending amount is Rs 204.32 crore.
The expenditure so far was Rs 503.90 crore for 2025-2026, the released amount was Rs 350.93 crores and the pending amount is Rs 202.69 crores. The total dues are Rs 152.97 crore.
