The vehicle carrying cattle overturned at a bend.

CHAMARAJANAGAR: One head of cattle died while 10 others were rescued after the goods vehicle in which they were being transported to a slaughter house overturned near Panyada Hundi village in the taluk early today morning.

While 10 heads of cattle were rescued, one died.

The cattle were packed inside and crates of tomato were stacked at the rear to make it look like the vehicle was carrying tomato. It is believed that the driver may have been drowsy and was speeding when the vehicle overturned at a curve.

After the accident, the driver of the goods vehicle fled the spot. The Chamarajanagar Rural police visited the spot and registered a case.
