BENGALURU: The Siddapura police raided a godown in Byrasandra and seized huge stocks of fakes of popular garment brands worth lakhs of rupees.
The fakes included those of Puma and Nike which were being sold in the local market at heavily discounted prices. Police said Avinash, who owns the godown, would procure the fakes brands from Delhi and sell them in Bengaluru.
The raid was conducted based on a complaint from Sreejith, a representative of Nike and Puma. The police seized a large quantity of sportswear, T-shirts and innerwear and a case was registered under the Copyrights Act.
