MYSURU: A schoolgirl died after she was run over by a school bus from which she had just alighted, at Manjunatha Layout in Hunsur on Thursday afternoon. The incident was captured on a CCTV camera.
The footage shows two girls getting off the school bus and one of them crossing the road in front of the bus when the driver runs the vehicle over her. The girl was immediately shifted to a private hospital, but did not survive. The negligence of the school bus driver is blamed for the incident and the Hunsur police have registered a case.
In another accident near Kottegala Gate in Hunsur taluk, two labourers who were going on a motorcycle died after they collided with an MPV.
Nagaraju (48) and Shivaraju (45) were returning home in Attiguppe village from Hunsur when the MPV coming from Madikeri collided with the motorcycle. The Hunsur Rural police have registered a case.
