BENGALURU: A gang assaulted a man, attempted to stab him, and threatened him of life for asking to move a parked motorcycle to make way for his goods vehicle in Raghavendra Colony of Padmanabha Nagar on Sunday.

The accused Pratap Shetty assaulted Pradeep and threatened him of his life. An FIR has been registered against seven people, including a history-sheeter.

One Sunday night, Pradeep was on his way to work and was to transport some flexes in his Tata Ace vehicle. When he went to bring his vehicle, he noticed that someone had parked their bike on the road.

Pradeep told the bike owner Prathap to move it aside as he wanted to take his vehicle out. This led to an argument between Pradeep and Prathap Shetty.

The accused Pratap Shetty and his gang attacked Pradeep and used abusive language at him. The accused also threatened him with tools. Prathap then called his accomplices and was joined by more than 10 rowdies. A source said that a history-sheeter was also involved in the incident.

A case filed at Banashankari police station, and the accused were arrested and questioned.
