DHARWAD: Passengers of a North-Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) bus had a lucky escape after the front left wheel came loose while the bus was moving, near Kalwad Cross in Navalgund taluk on Monday evening.
The bus, belonging to the Navalgund depot, was on its way from Dharwad to Navalgund when the incident occurred. A wheel came loose and rolled into a field by the roadside.
Thanks to the quick thinking of the bus driver Sharief Hanchinal, who managed to bring the bus to the roadside safely, the passengers escaped with no injuries. Later, another bus was arranged for the passengers.
