BENGALURU: A doctor in the city has organised free medical health checkups and treatment for the poor near Kanteerava Studios from October 27 to November 13, in memory of late actor Puneeth Rajkumar.
Dr Jayashree, founder of Shri Shirdi Saibaba International Foundation, is organising the free medical checkup which includes services like free doctor consultation, dental checkup, scanning and X-ray. Many people near the Kanteerava Studio visited the medical camp.
Free medical services were also provided at different parts of the city, including at Life Diagnostics Centre at Yamare near Sarjapur and at theatres including Navrang, Narthaki and Veeresh. Since Saturday, more than 20,000 people have attended the medical camps and received information about heart, kidney and dental diseases. Some of them even started their treatment right after their medical checkups.
“In memory of the late actor Puneeth Rajkumar, we have organised a medical camp for the public. I was inspired by his social work. We started this medical camp on Saturday and thousands of people have already benefited from it. With the help of several organisations, we have organised these camps in most of the places, including several villages. Health is wealth. Many people are inquiring about their health issues, and we are giving free consultations and prescriptions to people. We are providing general checkups, paediatric consultation and creating awareness in many places,” said Dr Jayashree Belagavi, doctor and founder of Shirdi Sai Baba International Foundation, LV Hospital.
