BENGALURU: A four-year-old boy died due to electrocution after he came in contact with loose wires of an air curtain at a wedding reception held at a convention hall on West of Chord Road on Wednesday evening.
The victim was identified as M Shivam, son of Pradeep and Deepa who are residents of Kempegowda Nagar. The incident occurred at Abhimani Convention Centre on West of Chord Road, Basaveshwaranagar.
The family was attending a wedding reception of a relative when the boy was electrocuted after coming in contact with an air curtain. The mother, who saw the child fallen on the ground, also suffered an electric shock when she touched him.
A case has been registered at the Basaveshwaranagar police against the convention hall owner Diwakar, manager Santosh and electrician Satish. Further investigation is under way.
