TUMAKURU: Four people died after a truck and a car collided near Kondli Cross in Gubbi taluk on Wednesday, police said. “Three died on the spot, while one woman died on the way to hospital and was declared brought dead”, they added.
The victims were identified as Narayanappa (50), Nagarathna (45), Sagar (25) and Ranjanna (25), all residents of Chikkanayakanahalli taluk in Tumkur district, police added. The car was heading to Bengaluru from Pantrihalli when the accident occurred .
“A case has been registered at the Gubbi police station”, the police further informed, and added, “Probe into the matter has been initiated”. Further investigation is under way. (ANI)
