Four injured in LPG cylinder blast at Chokkasandra

BENGALURU: Four people, including a child, were injured in an LPG cylinder blast at Chokkasandra in T Dasarahalli at 8.25 am on Monday.

The explosion was so severe that all household items were damaged, and the door and window frames were broken. The window curtains were also burnt. Adjacent houses were also damaged due to the blast.

Two men, including a 25-year-old from the neighbouring house, and a child, were injured, while a woman suffered serious injuries. The injured were rushed to a local hospital for treatment.

On getting information about the incident, fire tenders reached the spot and doused the fire, while local police visited the site and conducted an investigation.

As the sources, seven houses were damaged due to the intensity of the blast and five people were injured. A woman, identified as Anjali, suffered burn injuries and is in critical condition and is battling for life at the hospital. Manjunath (25) and Manushree (3) also suffered severe burns. Shobha, who was also injured, had to undergo 13 stitches.
