TUMAKURU, KOLAR: Four people, including a police constable, died in separate accidents involving two-wheelers in Tumakuru and Kolar districts on Thursday.
Two people, identfied as Mahesh and Chandraiah died on the spot after the motorcycle they were travelling on fell on the road after the rider lost balance near Siddarabetta in Koratagere taluk on Wednesday night. A third person, Bharat, who was also on the motorcycle, was hospitalised with injuries.
Mahesh was a police constable attached to Kodigenahalli police station. They had gone to attend a wedding and were returning when the accident occurred. A case has been registered at the Koratagere police station.
At Ramasandra in Kolar taluk, an unidentified vehicle knocked down a two-wheeler, killing the riders on the spot. The deceased were identified as Puneeth of Vemagal and Jagan of Kolar town. The Vemagal police have registered a case.
