CHIKKODI: Four people, including an infant, died on the spot and five others sustained injuries after a bus collided with an SUV near Chikkabennur village in the taluk under Bharamasagara police limits on Saturday.
The deceased are Prajwal Reddy (30), Harshita (28), Nohan (2) and Vijay Reddy. The injured were shifted to a hospital. Vijay Reddy, who was among the injured, died later in hospital.
The occupants of the SUV were on their way to Goa from Bengaluru when the accident occurred. Chitradurga SP Dharmendar Kumar Meena said the occupants of the SUV were residents of Thanisandra in Bengaluru. A case has been registered in this connection.
