DHARWAD, CHIKKABALLAPUR: Four people died while three survived with injuries in separate accidents in different parts of the state on Friday.
Three people died on the spot after their car crashed into a stationary lorry on the national highway near Bhadrapura village close to Annigeri in Dharwad district on Friday. The deceased were identfied as Madan, Suresh and L N Venugopal, hailing from Mysuru and Bengaluru.
The three had been to Mundargi in Gadag district to inspect agricultural land for purchase and were returning to Bengaluru when the accident occurred. The Annigeri police visited spot and shifted the bodies to hospital for autopsy.
In another incident, one person died while three survived after their car plunged into a water body near Batlahalli village in Chintamani taluk of Chikkaballapur district.
The deceased was identified as S Adarsh of Srinivasapura while the survivors are T N Sharat of Chintamani and Bharat and Riyan of Hosakote. They had visited Adarsh’s house and were returning when the accident occurred due to speeding. A case has been registered at the Batlahalli police station.
