KALABURAGI: Four people died on the spot while one person was battling for life after a jeep collided with a truck in the wee hours on the outskirts of the Afzalpur on Thursday. All the deceased were residents of Madyal in Afzalpur taluk
The accident occurred on the Afzalpur-Kalaburagi stretch of the national highway. The deceased are Santosh (40), Shankar (55), Siddamma (50) and Hucchappa (5). Another passenger, Pooja, is battling for life at a private hospital in Kalaburagi.
The jeep was on its way from Afzalpur to Mallabad while the truck was coming from Kalaburagi. The Afzalpur police visited the spot and have registered a case.
