Former minister Prabhu Chavan hospitalised in Mumbai following chest pain

BIDAR: Former state animal husbandry minister and BJP leader Prabhu Chavan has been admitted to a hospital in Bandra, Mumbai, after complaints of chest pain on Thursday evening. He had gone to Mumbai three days ago and was suddenly taken ill.

Prabhu Chavan’s hospitalisation comes close on the heels of the BJP announcing his bete noir and Union minister Bhagawant Khuba as a candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. Chavan had pleaded with BJP state president B Y Vijayendra not to give the ticket to Khuba at a public programme and had even fallen at his feet.

According to hospital sources, there has been some improvement in Chavan’s condition and he is likely to be discharged in 2-3 days. In 2022, Chavan had suffered breahting difficulties and had to be hospitalised.
