BENGALURU: An exclusive report by Public TV has exposed hotels in the Majestic area using water from toilets for cooking. The hotels, located near the railway station and metro, were found to be using water from the a public toilet tank for cooking, preparing food and washing utensils.
Public TV exposed the reality of the hotels and unhygienic food preparation, accompanied by the BBMP health officials.


After noticing the illegal connections the inside the hotels, BBMP health officials were shocked and shut those hotels immediately.

The eateries had no metered water connection and had drawn electricity illegally. The hotel staff themselves admitted that they have been using this water for six months.

This is not the first time that hotels in Bengaluru have been found to be using contaminated water for cooking and having illegal pipe connections. In the past, several hotels in the city have been found to be using contaminated water for cooking, and action has been taken against them.
