BENGALURU: The Indian Meterological Department (IMD) has said that the state will experience severe fog and cold wave conditions with light rain and cloudy weather for the next two days due to a depression in the Bay of Bengal.

The severe depression in the Bay of Bengal is likely to have much impact on the south-interior parts of the state. The IMD has warned of rain in eleven districts of Tamil Nadu due to the depression. There is a possibility of light rain in many places, including south-interior Karnataka, Bengaluru City and Rural districts, Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar and Ramanagara.

Meterologist Prasad said cold conditions will prevail for the next few days.

“The minimum temperature that has been recorded in Bellary is 12.1 degrees Celsius. There is a severe depression in the Bay of Bengal. There will be cloudy weather in the south-interior parts of the state, including Bengaluru. In some places, there are cold wave conditions and it will be foggy”, said Prasad, a city-based meterologist.
