BELAGAVI: Five students of the Morarji Desai residential school for minorities at Salahalli village in Ramdurg taluk fell ill after consuming contaminated food served in the school on Thursday.
The students were served pulav for breakfast which was allegedly infested with worms. Five of the students fell sick after having breakfast. After administering first aid, the teachers shifted the sick children to the government hospital in Ramdurg.
The students alleged that despite bringing the pathetic affairs of the school to the notice of the higher authorities, nothing has been done. They also sat on protest on the school premises demanding action against the warden and the teachers.
