BENGALURU: Five people were injured and one is critical after a crane collapse in Medahalli area while repair work was under way. The injured individuals were rushed to a hospital in Bhattarahalli for treatment.
The injured individuals are Lulu (30), Karban (19), Illaj (38), Samir (28) and Shama Dev (52). The accident happened at a private crane service area, AS Crane Service, located in a residential zone.
Locals expressed outrage over the crane service operating in a residential area, despite previous complaints to the police and BBMP authorities. This is not the first time complaints have been lodged against the crane service.
Locals claim that they have submitted multiple complaints to the police station and BBMP officials, but no action has been taken. An investigation is under way, and a case has been registered at the Avalahalli police station.
