Five dead in separate accidents in Karnataka

KALABURAGI, KOPPAL, CHITRADURGA: Five people died in separate accidents in different parts of the state on Monday. About 20 sheep were also killed in one of the accidents.

Three youths died on the spot after their motorcycle collided with a KKRTC bus near Bengaluru Cross in Kamalapura taluk. They are Vishal Jadhav (17), Chandrakanth (20) and Sameer (23).

The three youths were riding on a motorcycle when they met with an accident.

They were on their way from Kinni Sadak village to Kalaburagi when the accident occurred. The KKRTC bus was on its way from Kalaburagi to Kamalapura. The Kamalapura police have registered a case.

A motorcycle rider, who had parked his two-wheeler and was standing by the roadside was run over by a car on the outskirts of Marlanahalli in Karatagi taluk of Koppal district. The deceased was identified as Subramanya (50), a resident of Ganesh Camp in Karatagi taluk. The police visited the spot and have registered a case.

A shepherd and his flock were run over by a bus.

In Chitradurga district, a state transport corporation bus ran over a shepherd and 20 of his sheep near Eerajjanahatti. The deceased shepherd was identified as Rajappa (30) of Nelagetanahatti village.
