BALLARI: The Siriguppa police have arrested five accused involved in peddling ganja (cannabis) from Andhra Pradesh. The arrested are Sharmas Vali, Shailendra, Sheikh Habid, Balaram and Kartik
The accused were found in possession of 5.35 kg of ganja worth Rs 2.65 lakh. According to the police, they had purchased the ganja from Hyderabad secretly and were trying to sell it in various parts of the district. However, based on a tip-off, the police seized the ganja and arrested the accused when they were moving on a two-wheeler.
A case has been registered at the Siriguppa police station, and further investigation is under way. The police have stated that they will take strict action against those involved in the peddling ganja in the district.
