DAVANAGERE: In a rare catch, two giant fish, weighing about 32 kg each, were caught in Tungabhadra river by some fishermen of Sasivehalli in the district.
Fishermen Yakwal, Mani, Babu, and Ayyappa were fishing in the Tungabhadra river near Sasvehalli village, Honnali taluk, when they netted caught two massive 32 kg fish of a rare species. The fishermen struggled to pull in the catch, which measured over 2 meters in length.
News of the catch spread quickly and villagers flocked to see the giant fish. Such catches are rare and the fishermen sold the fish to eager buyers.
