GAGAD: The historical Bhishma Kere lake in the heart of the town witnessed massive fish death after some miscreants allegedly poisoned the water.
The dead fish, both big and small, were found floating on the surface of the water, leading to anxiety among fishermen. Fish seeds worth lakhs had been released into the lake.
Locals have now demanded that the civic administration install CCTV cameras, provide security and initiate measures to prevent pollution of the historical lake with plastic and other waste.
