RAICHUR: A nursing student, who cast her vote for the first time on May 10, is battling for life after she met with an accident while returning after casting her vote.

Sana (20) is pursuing BSc Nursing course at Dharward. She had returned to her home at Hatti in Lingasugur taluk of Raichur district to cast her vote for the first time. While returning to Hatti from Mudgal, an SUV crashed her two-wheeler near Mudgal.

Sana, a nursing student, sustained serious injuries.

The nursing student has suffered serious injuries with broken limbs and damage to the kidney region and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Dharwad. Her poor parents are finding it difficult to the expenses towards treatment, family members said.
