BIDAR: A major fire broke out in a house, destroying household articles, due to an electrical short circuit at Mudhnal village of Chitaguppa taluk.
The fire accident occurred at the house of one Chukkamma and due to the thick smoke, panic shadow prevailed in village for some time. Due to fire engulfing the kitchen, rooms and the hall, goods worth lakhs in house have been destroyed. Appliances like a fridge, grocery items and other things which were in house were also burnt to ashes.
Villagers informed the fire brigade who rushed to the spot and extinguished fire. Fortunately, there was no loss of life in the accident. The incident occurred in Chitaguppa police station limits.
