CHIKKODI: Fire broke out at a paving block unit near Kochari road due to short circuit on Sunday. However, no casualties were reported.
The fire broke out in Akshaya Pavers Block unit belonging to Akshama Veeramukha, which is located on Kochari road on the outskits of Hebbala village.
A fire brigade team reached the spot and extinguished the fire. The machinery in the paver block unit were completely gutted. The owner Akshama Veeramukh said the damage caused by the fire was about Rs 12 lakh.
The incident occurred in Sankeshwar police station limits.
