KALABURAGI: A FIR has been registered against the headmistress of Maulana Azad Model English Medium School in the city for allegedly getting the schoolchildren to clean the toilets and also her home gardens. A case was registered at the Roza Police station here.

A student made serious allegations against the headmistress, Zohara Jabeen, alleging that she forced him to clean the toilets, sweep the office room, water the garden and do domestic work. The case came to light after the father of the student raised questions about it.

The father Mohammad Zameer said, “The school headmistress of the school is using my son for school and domestic work. Earlier too, the teacher Zohara Zabeen used my son for work at a birthday programme organised at her residence. When I learned about this, I personally met her and requested her not to repeat it. However, she threatened and intimidated my son even after my request. He used to come home late every day after school. I went to the house of the headmistress as I got suspicious to see where he was doing housework. Immediately, I called 112 police and filed a complaint”.

The police have registered a case at Roza police station based on the complaint filed by the student and the parents and have taken up investigation.
