Fight between gay partners ended in murder, reveals police investigation

BENGALURU: The police investigation into the murder of a businessman in Chandra Layout has revealed that it was a fight between two gay partners that ended in the murder.

The deceased is Liaqat Ali Khan and the accused is Ikias Khan. For the past two years, Liaqat and Ikias were in a homosexual relationship, and two days before the murder, Liaqat got married for the second time. Ikias had reportedly cancelled talks about his engagement due to his relationship with Liaqat, police said.

The family members of Ikias were looking for a bride for him and he was worried about what would happen if his family found out about his homosexuality. They also had a fight over the issue. On the day of the murder, Liaqat and Ikias were involved in a sexual act when they had a fight about Ikias’ future. Ikias suddenly hit Liaqat on the head with a hammer and stabbed him with a pair of scissors. Ikias has been arrested and is presently in police custody.
