CHIKKODI: Close on the heels of the death of the a mother-son duo in Bengaluru due to electrocution, a man and his son died after coming in contact with a live wire at Chikkatti village in Athani taluk on Sunday. The deceased were identified as Mallikarjun Sadashiva Pujari (32) and Preetham Mallikarjun Pujari (7).
On Sunday afternoon, Mallikarjun had switched on the pumpset in his farm and stepped ahead to turn on a valve when he came in contact with a snapped live wire. In an attempt to save his father, the seven-year-old boy was also electrocuted. The Athani police visited the spot and have registered a case.
