A farmer in Mallapura village in Bhadravathi taluk has resorted to this unique form of protest to draw the attention of the power utility towards irregular power supply at his farm.
Hanumanthappa has been living in his farmhouse for several years.Though he has a power connection for his irrigation pumpset, power supply is very irregular. Over the last six months, he has repeatedly applied for a domestic power connection for his house, but to no avail.
To draw the attention of the authorities, he has now resorted grinding his masala at the MESCOM office itself.
