KALABURAGI: A fakir allegedly raped a 75-year-old woman after barging into her house at Chandrapalli village in Chincholi taluk on Monday night. The victim lives alone in her house.
The accused fakir, Tayyab, is a resident of the neighbouring Ainolli village and usually goes around villages seeking alms. He is absconding ever since the incident.
The victim was badly bruised and was shifted to the government hospital in Bidar. The police have launched a hunt for the missing Tayyab.
