KALABURAGI: Amid the ongoing controversy over the Congress manifesto proposal to ban the Bajrang Dal, senior BJP leader K S Eshwarappa on Thursday burnt a copy of the document stating that it was full of lies and was of no use. He also termed it as Mohammed Ali Jinnah’s manifesto.

Addressing a press conference here, Eshwarappa said the Congress does not even know how the country gained independence and has been backing divisive forces. “Congress state president D K Shivakumar says the Vokkaligas are with him and that he will become CM. On the other hand, Siddaramaiah says the backward castes are with him and he will become CM. Congress is sowing the seeds of poison in the name of caste. A complaint should be filed in this regard and Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah should be jailed”, he said.

Further, he said the banned Popular Front of India (PFI) was involved in cow slaughter and Bajrang Dal activists who tried to prevent it were murdered. “The Congress withdrew 123 cases against PFI activists and is directly backiing terrorism”, Eshwarappa charged. “The PFI is already banned, then where is the question of the Congress banning it again?” he questioned. “Ravana set Anjaneya’s tail on fire, now Congress is trying to do the same thing and will be wiped out completely”, he said.

The Congress is playing appeasement politics, but not all Muslims are alike – some are against Congress too. The Bajrang Dal is doing inspirational work for the youth by preventing cow slaughter, he added.
