Elderly man dies after SI’s son knocks him down while popping wheelies

MYSURU: A senior citizen died on the spot after a police sub-inspector’s son knocked him down while popping wheelies. The incident took place under the jurisdiction of Nanjangud police station.

The police have arrested the accused Syed Aiman, the son of PSI Yasmin Taj. The deceased is Guruswamy and his son Mahadevaswamy, filed a complaint in this regard.

The accused was popping wheelies on a bike when he hit Guruswamy who was walking along the road. As a result, Guruswamy, died on the spot. Locals took Guruswamy and the injured accused to KR Hospital.

The accused Syed Aiman, who was undergoing treatment there, was arrested late at night by the Nanjangudu Rural police station.

As per the complainant, the accused was responsible for the death of his father. The police have seized one bike which had no number plate.

Syed Aiman, the son of PSI Yasmin Taj, was arrested earlier and fined by the police for dangerous driving and popping wheelies.
