BENGALURU: The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has filed another ECIR (Enforcement Directorate Case Information Report) related to the MUDA scam.
In 2022, the Lokayukta had filed a case, and now 18 officials have been named in the ECIR. The issue revolves around the allocation of 7.18 acres of land to over 350 beneficiaries in Hinakal Survey Number 89. The allegations include irregularities in land allocation. The ECIR has been filed against 18 officials who were in charge in 2017.
The Lokayukta had also issued notices to these officials to appear for inquiry on September 9.
Additionally, a case was filed against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act on September 30 regarding irregularities in the allocation of 14 plots. Following the filing of the ECIR, CM Siddaramaiah’s wife Parvathi wrote a letter offering to return 14 sites to MUDA.
