CHAMARAJANAGAR: A scuffle between two drunk men turned deadly when one attacked the other over a trivial reason, resulting in the death of one of them, at Gundlupet in the district. The deceased is Shivu (36), a resident of Gundlupet’s Janata Colony, and the accused is Nizamuddin.
The altercation escalated into murder when Nizamuddin allegedly attacked Shivu with a stick and stone near Maddaneshwara School. Shivu had gone home after the fight. He was found to be beeding from the ear and suddenly developed chest pain at night. He was rushed to a hospital with severe injuries but succumbed to his injuries en route.
The police have arrested Nizamuddin and another suspect, and a case has been registered at the Gundlupet town police station.
Shivu’s mother, Parvathamma, has alleged that her son was brutally attacked by Muslim youth. “He was saying that he was experiencing pain in the mouth and chest, he could not even eat’, she said. She is devastated by the loss of her son, who was the family’s sole breadwinner.
