BENGALURU: A drunk customer assaulted a cashier for not speaking in Kannada. The incident took place at 3:30 pm on Saturday in Vijayanagara’s Hampinagar. The incident was captured on a CCTV camera.
The man, who was under the influence of alcohol, entered the shop, purchased items, but did not pay for them. When the cashier requested payment, the man demanded that the cashier speak Kannada.
The cashier replied that he couldn’t speak Kannada fluently. Then, the man used abusive language at him and physically assaulted him, warning him to learn Kannada.
