Driver dies after bus hits divider on Bengaluru-Mysuru highway, passengers safe

MANDYA: The driver of a Kerala-registered bus was killed after the vehicle crashed into a road divider on the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway near Gejjalagere around 5.30 am on Monday. The passengers, however, had a lucky escape.

The deceased driver was identified as Asif (45). The bus was on its way from Bengaluru to Kerala. It is believed that he may have dozed off behind the wheel leading to the accident.

A case has been registered at the Maddur police station and further investigation is under way.
