BENGALURU: The tardy pace of work taken up by different civic agencies in the city, often without coordination, has been a bane for citizens who are forced to put up with much inconvenience.
Take the case of the drainage remodelling work on Binny Mill road. According to X user Srinivas, who goes by the handle @srini_bangalore, work has been going on for the last three months and has not been completed yet. In a post on X, he wrote, Is this Brand Bangalore? Took More than 3 months for simple drainage work on Binny mill rd. Only 2 people working on project @BBMPCOMM doesn’t care for its people, elected leaders don’t care? How can they close main road connecting west and south of Bangalore for more than 3 mnth”.

Further, he suggested that timeframes should be set for completion of any civic work. “Govt should come with guide lines for BBMP work. BBMP should display the type of work, cost involved and Expected date of completion date for public”, he noted.
Tagging the city police commissioner too, Srinivas wrote, “Si r@CPBlr it is time to open Binny mill road for public use, think of the suffering school kids, patients, old people, office goers have daily going thru cottenpet traffic which takes more than 1 hr, If you are in our place how will you feel it? The road work is almost complete”.
