BENGALURU: With increasing cases of dognapping being reported in the city, pet owners and animal lovers have raised concern and have called for enhancing safety measures.

Most of the time, people take their pets out in the evening or will leave them out for some time. Capitalising on this, dognappers are particularly targeting pure breeds which are easier to handle.

Recently, Sayyed left his dog Joyee out for a walk when three people, who were came on a bike, stole the dog after pretending to pamper it. The dog owner got to know about theft when he checked the CCTV near Petrol Bunk in Frazer Town.
