Dog owner who set fire to two vehicles after pet bit woman arrested

BENGALURU: The Kothanur police have arrested a dog owner who had set fire to a scooter and a motorcycle after a woman, who was attacked by the dog, lodged a complaint against him.

On October 23, the woman was along Venugopalaswamy temple street in Kothanur when she was bitten by a dog. Following this, she had lodged a complaint with the police. The dog owner had threatened that he would not spare the complainant.

The dog owner had set fire to two vehicles after the dog bite victim lodged a complaint.

Prior to this incident, the woman and the pet owner were involved in a chit fund business and after the dog bit her, she had used up some of chit fund amount for her medical treatment. Angered by this, the dog owner had set fire to two two-wheelers parked in front of the woman’s house.

Based on the woman’s complaint, the Kothanur police have arrested the pet owner and taken up further investigation.
