Dharwad two-wheeler owner with 45 cases against him pays up Rs 12,250 in fines

DHARWAD: A two-wheeler owner in the city, who had 45 cases of traffic violations, was served a lengthy notice by the traffic police at his residence. The vehicle owner was identified as Ajay Kalal.

The Home department has announced a 50 per cent rebate scheme till September 15 wherein vehicle owners can pay up half the fines and get the traffic violation cases cleared.

Traffic police personnel Vitthal Mayannavar and Manjunath Kattimani visited Ajay Kalal at his house and printed out the lengthy notice. They also collected Rs 12,250 towards fines for the offences under the rebate scheme.
