BENGALURU: The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has been working on filling potholes on Bengaluru’s roads for the past few days. Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar inspected the work late on Monday night.
Shivakumar inspected the pothole-filling work on Bagalur Main Road in Yelahanka, Sandeep Unnikrishnan Road in MS Palya, and the flyover at Ejipura. He received information from officials about the road conditions and the potholes.

DK Shivakumar said that all Bengaluru MLAs had brought the issue of potholes to his attention. The BBMP has prepared software to identify potholes and has asked police stations to provide a list of potholes in their areas.
A mobile app called ‘Fix My Street’ has been launched where citizens can report potholes by sending photos. Officials will then identify and fill the potholes. He said that he was disappointed with the condition of the roads when he recently traveled on Bagalur Main Road.
The BBMP has identified over 5,000 potholes in the city and has prioritized filling over 4,400 of them. In the past four days, over 2,200 potholes have been filled. Shivakumar directed officials to continue the work and ensure that the roads are made smooth.
