VIJAYAPURA: A newborn was abandoned at the doorstep of a house at Chalukyanagar here on Saturday. The house, just behind the Ramakrishna Hospital, belongs to one B G Police Patil.
The dead male infant was found with the hospital clip on its umbilical cord and bore dark patches on the head and body. Some girl students, who are tenants in the house found the newborn at their doorstep.
The Adarsh Nagar police visited the spot and have registered a case.
