DAVANAGERE: A resident of Vinayaka Extension here lost Rs 76.48 lakh to online scammers. He was lured into investing in the share market through Facebook, with the promise of huge profits.
The victim transferred money from various banks between September and December. When he tried to withdraw the returns, he realised he had been scammed. He has now filed a complaint at the CEN police station.
