Couple try to blackmail fashion design academy found after uploading objectionable videos, arrested

BENGALURU: A woman, who joined a fashion design academy in Vijayanagar to learn tailoring allegedly made objectionable videos of the academy founder and posted them on Instagram. When questioned about it, the woman and her husband turned on the founder.

When asked to delete the video, the couple allegedly demanded Rs 3 lakh. After two hours of discussion, the couple blackmailed the academy founder saying they would upload more videos if money wasn’t given. The couple, Chinmayi and her husband Deepak aka Supreeth, residents of Nagarbhavi, was harassing a woman named Chandini Beerappa for money. They repeatedly met at a hotel and negotiated for money.

Unable to tolerate the couple’s harassment, the woman filed a complaint with the police following which the couple was arrested. The couple was uploading fake news under the name @chinmayi_vlogs in the name of promotion. Investigation against the couple is currently under way by Govindarajanagar police.
