ANEKAL: A couple committed suicide by consuming poison at Janata Colony in Bannerghatta on the outskirts of Bengaluru. The deceased have been identified as Prabhu (38) and his wife Lakkamma (30).
The bodies were found in a decomposed state inside the house. Local residents noticed when foul smell coming from the house and informed the police. They may have died three to four days ago, the police suspect.
Prabhu was working as a driver while Lakkamma was working in a garment factory. The couple was staying in a rented house that belonged to Vishwanath. The exact reason for committing suicide is yet to be ascertained. The Bannerghatta police visited the spot and have taken up further investigation.
