MYSURU: A couple committed suicide after recording a video as their friend allegedly did not repay a loan. They had borrowed the money from someone else in Yaraganahalli in the district and given it to the friend.
The couple has been identified as Vishwa (34) and Sushma (28). They claimed that they gave Rs 5 lakh to their friend Shivu by taking a loan from someone else. He did not repay the loan and the lenders were after Vishwa to repay the loan.
Besides this, Vishwa had pledged his gold jewellery with one Choranahalli Rajanna. It is said that Rajanna was also harassing the couple by not returning the gold. Fed up of this, the husband and wife committed suicide after making a video and uploading it on social media.
A case has been registered in this regard at the Alanahalli police station.
