MANGALURU: A couple barged into the Al Badriya Madrasa at Katipalla in Surathkal and issued death threats to a teacher for allegedly beating their son.
The couple, Shamsuddin and his wife, stormed into the madrasa, assaulted the teacher Ustad Umar Farooq and issued a death threat alleging that he had beaten their son at the madrasa. Umar Farooq teaches religious lessons at the madrasa.
Based on a complaint filed by M A Hanif, general secretary of Badriya Jumma Masjid, a case has been registered at Surathkal police station against Shamsuddin and his wife under BNS Sections 329(1), 115(2), 352, 351(2), 351(3) and 3(5).
